Why volunteer:
- Nothing to fear. Race committee is never wrong! (Where else in your life does this happen?)
- You get race credit based on your average score for the series
- No race committee no race...if not you then who?
Check out the Race Committee instructions for running races with the SailMaster 3000 Milltown Race Committee application. Do not fear you will receive guidance and coaching prior to the race if you are want it.Skills required:
- Must be a sighted person.
- Able to distinguish red from green (i.e. not color blind).
- Understand the difference between Port and Starboard.
- Able to raise and lower flags.
- Can tell time.
- Able to make multiple time entries on a piece of paper.
Optional desirable skills:
- Can enjoy being right no matter what!
- Likes telling people where to go.
- Likes to be in control.
- Enjoys relaxing while watching others try.
