2023 MESSAGE FROM OUR CRUISE CAPTAINS

Hello Milltown Members- The days are getting longer and spring is just around the corner so it's time to start planning for the 2023 Milltown Sailing Association monthly cruises!  We will be away from the internet for the first 2 weeks of February so we would like to share information about upcoming cruises with you now.

On February 4th there will be a "cruise" (by car) to the Seattle Boat Show.  More information will be coming about that.  The following Saturday on February 11th is the annual party at the clubhouse.  Many thanks to Margo Hayden and Pam Dittrich for hosting this event.  We hope you got the email from Pam with a very intriguing description about "Murder at the Guild Inn".  This sounds like it's going to be so much fun!  We are sorry to miss out on helping the group solve the mystery of who did it!  Please email Pam or Margo if you'd like to be assigned a character at Guild Inn.  If nothing else just come and enjoy a fun evening with boating friends and shared appetizers.

March 10-12th is our first club cruise on the water to Port Ludlow.  The marina has 15 slips reserved for Milltown and they ask that boaters call now and reserve by Feb 18th.  The marina office number is 360-437-0513 or you can book through their web site. They will ask for your name, your boat name, length, cell phone number, when will you arrive/depart and a credit card number.  You can cancel 24 hours in advance with no penalty.  More information will be coming about plans for activities during this cruise weekend.

Finally, we would like to share the plans for the Progressive Cruise on July 8-23, 2023.  We know it's several months away but thought we would give you time to look at the itinerary and call for reservations if you think you might join us.  We have attached 3 possible options; 1). one week in the San Juans, 2). two weeks in the San Juans, and 3). two weeks in the San Juans and Canada.  We are planning on doing the 3rd option, San Juans and Canada.

Since these slips are very popular it would good to go to the various web sites and docking apps listed and make your reservations soon -- especially the Canadian locations. (Note we have not finalized a telegraph Harbor Marina yet). When you reserve be sure to include in the comment section that you will be traveling with Milltown Sailing Association.  Many Marinas give priority to groups.   Roche Harbor is not taking reservations until probably March or April (you could ask they about that at the Boat Show).

Sorry about the deluge of information all at once but a prepared and planned Cruising Year always goes more smoothly.

Happy Sailing,

Linda and Grant Albert
