First Cruise of the New Year

posted Jan 3, 2012 6:29 PM by Rick Hunter
It’s just around the corner….Milltown first 2012 cruise next weekend!
Upcoming cruise to Kingston
January 14-15 2012
Okay, Cruisers…Time to dust of your sails and get ready for our January 14-15 Cruise to Kingston.  Kingston has those great shelters on the dock for pot lucking and socializing.  Our custom at our winter Kingston cruise is to make a Mulligan Stew (a conglomeration of several people's stews in a big pot with red wine added) for Saturday night.
After Jan 2nd, call the Port of Kingston to make your reservations and prepay your slip. (360) 297-3545 We have a group reservation for Milltown but each boat must call to get a slip assignment and prepay.  As cruise captain for this January cruise, I am asking for your response back to me by email or phone so that we know how many to expect. Here’s what I need:
Your boat’s name and length
If you will be staying Friday and Saturday or just Saturday night
We will need some to bring appetizers,
Some to bring stew and
Some to bring dessert.
We also share a potluck breakfast on Sunday.

We are asking cruisers to be Saturday hosts for each of the Cruises.  That entails hosting the Saturday Happy hour and Potluck on one cruise.  A theme or activity for those who would like to participate in some group fun is also an option but not required. As cruise captains, we will make the reservations with the port and communicate with the club cruisers.  All the host does is coordinate Saturday for that individual cruise.
Together we will make this a memorable weekend!
