Cruise to Port Ludlow March 12-14, 2010
Our March Cruise to Port Ludlow is right around the corner on March 12-14. We have reserved a block of slips for Milltown. Please call the Port 877-344-6725 for a slip assignment if you are planning to come ASAP. They will ask for a cc to hold the reservation but will not charge until you arrive. A reservation can be cancelled but they will release our slips without one. We would like to know who is coming so please call Margo Hayden, Co- Cruise Captain at 425-501- 4980 or email Margo Hayden mawight (at) hotmail.com
Since it is right before St Patrick’s Day, feel free to be Green. If you have any decorations, please bring them. Rob Bill is bringing his famous corned beef and cabbage and Pam Davis, her Irish Stew. Bring your own “wee bit of the Isle” in an appetizer, side dish, or dessert. Port Ludlow has a covered dining area and a big fire ring and a horseshoe pit and a gas grill if needed. Look forward to s’mores!
We have planned to have a "white elephant" exchange, carried out the way we do at Christmas. Sooo look for that “unique” item to wrap and bring for this fun exchange.
We would therefore need food brought as follows:
Appetizers
Side dish
Anything to grill
s'more ingredients
dessert
We will try to divide up the food. Please email or call me to let me know that you are coming and what food you would like to bring. Looking forward to a great weekend and smooth sailing!

Cruising Program
Milltown’s cruising program consists of club cruises scheduled in each of the 12 months of the year except December. It also includes an active reciprocal yacht club program offering members reduced moorage costs at participating clubs around the Sound and into Canada.
The club cruises include shorter cruises during the winter months to local ports such as Edmonds, Kingston, and Langley. As the days lengthen, the cruises expand to the destinations of Port Ludlow, Brownsville, Poulsbo, Bremerton, Coupeville, and Port Hudson. Additionally a July cruise is scheduled for the San Juan Islands. All cruises are weekend cruises capitalizing on the three day holiday weekends whenever possible. The club provides subsidies to make the cruises more enjoyable to members and provides a cruising kit containing many of the items necessary to host activities ashore. Cruises include pot luck meals, hosted meals, excursions, and games to make the weekends more pleasurable. Cruise captains make necessary reservations well ahead of time to insure that destinations are available. They also make arrangements for arriving boats to be welcomed and safely moored. Cruises are primarily to port marinas but occasionally include anchorages.
